CNC Machinist

Description

Ohshima Ireland LTD is currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team based in our facility in Shannon, Co. Clare.

If you have experience in CNC milling and turning, enjoy working with cutting-edge technology, and take pride in producing high-quality components, this is the job for you. You will be responsible for operating CNC machines to manufacture precision parts for Aerospace, Medical, Automotive and Telecommunications industries.

Job Description

• Operate CNC machining centres and various models of CNC milling machines with precision and attention to detail.

• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and CAD drawings

• Adjust and optimize CNC programs (G-code, M-code)

• Select and set up tooling and work holding solutions

• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and precision

• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting

• Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to optimize processes

• Ensure compliance with ISO/AS9100/Other Quality Standards

• Work to tight tolerances and ensure the quality of output by inspecting your own work.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in CNC machining

• Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming

• Experience with Mazak, DMG Mori, Chiron machines desired but not essential

• Familiarity with Hypermill Software desired but not essential

• Familiarity with Heidenheim controllers desired but not essential

• Ability to inspect parts using callipers, micrometres, and CMMs

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Training will be provided in areas where skills and knowledges gaps are identified.
